Pinkett-Smith has previously spoken of her alopecia, a common disease often associated with the immune system.

Pinkett: Smith is not the only star to have struggled with alopecia.

Jesse Nelson, a small mixer who went alone this year, lost his hair during adolescence.

“I was 13 when my hair started to fall out,” she told Fabulous magazine. “Stress causes Alzheimer’s and it was not good. I was chosen because I always liked to dress differently. I never wanted to get along with everyone.

Close to home, The Great British Baking-Off Provider Matt Lucas found it very difficult to lose his hair when he was six years old.

He told the Daily Mirror: “I have the same confidence that someone else has in their appearance … well, maybe even more,” he told the Daily Mirror.

Since I was six years old, I have had my hair cut, and from an early age, I was exposed to it. People were always commenting on it so the way I was going for years was to hide myself. I felt it was safe to do so.

Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis says that at the age of 28, she had a hard time losing half her hair.
