Some of the funniest facts about February 2021, New York Times Google’s search for hair loss has increased by 8% in the last 12 months, and doctors have reported an increase in stress-induced hair loss (1) in patients. Just looking at the title of the article— “Not What You Think,” says the article:
The latest science on hair loss has been reported in natural resources. Nutri-Beauty: Knowing the market Sofia Cogan, MD, co-founder and chief medical consultant at Nutrafol, spoke on the topic. Getting to the root of the matter, Completely focused on hair loss.
“Most of us think it’s just genetic, and most of us don’t know that there is a universal ideology for hair loss,” said Dr. Cogan. The factors listed include stress, swelling, diet, hormones, and more.
Dr. Cogan covers the hair growth cycle (see Figure 1). It starts at the level of the agent, which is the stage of development; Then it goes to the regression stage, which she says is a normal part of the cycle. It then enters the landing stage or into the telogen room, where it does nothing but wait for the follicle to fall, which is called exogen. The follicle will then, in theory, produce another hair. Swelling. The hair follicles need energy for hair growth – and cellular metabolism provides that energy. Swelling is a major strain on metabolism. Therefore, anti-inflammatory drugs such as curcumin may be helpful here. The 2021 review looked at 32 experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of curcumin supplementation in systemic inflammation, and found other reduction in CRP, IL-6 and TNF-እና and other inflammatory symptoms. The researchers concluded: “These findings support further research to confirm the anti-inflammatory effects of curcumin and to further investigate the efficacy of anti-inflammatory effects in humans” (6). A.D. A 2020 study looked at the mechanism of action, and found that curcumin breaks down blood-brain barrier, which can protect nerve cells from oxidative stress and inflammation. Nutrition. Poor nutrition – in addition to affecting cellular metabolism – can cause a lack of nutrients needed to build hair. Andra Pichinku, a certified nutritionist, wrote to SFGATE that the most important ingredient in hair is protein: Eat lots of fish, eggs, lean meat, nuts, seeds and cottage cheese ”(8). Omega-3s help control keratin production, and make fish twice as recommended. And since keratin cannot be made without zinc, the pistachio recommends zinc-rich foods such as oysters, beef, kidney beans, nuts, and fortified cereals.
The Mayo Clinic also recommends certain lifestyles to prevent hair loss (2) ፡ Protect your hair from sunlight and other UV rays; Avoid harsh hair treatments such as hot roller, curling iron, hot oil treatments and perm. Use a blow dryer and avoid pulling hair when brushing, especially when it is wet; And limit the stress on the hair with rubber bands, bars and sweaters.
